We used Google Maps to take a walk around Bruton, identifying human and physical geographical features...
Our trip to Somerset Earth and Science Centre...
We had a fantastic time at the Earth and Science Centre this week. The children tested different rocks to observe their properties and also examined different fossils. We even visited a real life working quarry where the children got to see how rocks are collected and broken down in order to sell and use them.
The children enjoyed making a man out of metal as our hook for our new focus story...
We have been researching Mary Anning this week.
