We had great fun participating in the Global Relay, we played lots of fun games and kept moving for 15 minutes!
In computing this term we have been practising our programming skills using scratch. We have made out sprites tell knock knock jokes and explored making different algorithms.
In Forest school we made some Stone Age inspired homes using bamboo skewers and string.
In forest school we talked about animal tracks and how people in the stone age may have used them. We had a go at making some of our own.
Fire Collages - In art we made collages to look like fires, we know how important fire was for Stone Age people. We are going to put them all together to make a fire display - watch this space!
Forest school with Beech class - We made some fantastic bug hotels and picked some apples! :-)
Science - In Science this week we explored reflections. We discovered that smooth, shiny surfaces are better at relfecting light than bumpy, dark surfaces.
Forest School - We had a go at creating some StoneAge art only using things we could find in the forest school area!
Science - we sorted objects into different categories and has some really interesting conversations about light sources and reflections.
Cave Paintings - In Art we have been learning all about cave paintings in the Stone Age, we had a go a recreating our own....
In maths we have been exploring place value, and representing two and three digit numbers in different ways.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
