Spring Half Term 2
During ancient Greek day we: re-enacted the Trojan war using handmade shields, had our own Olympic games (javelin, bean bag thrown, wheelbarrow races, relay), made salt dough medals, made Greek temples, ate Greek food, designed Greek mythological creatures and played games!
We had cake fractions! (We compared and ordered the cake fractions.)
We made mixed numbers out of chalk.
We made fraction number lines out of chalk on the playground. We then long jumped to convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions!
In groups, we decided on our equipment and methods to purify pond water. Most of us decided to use magnets, then filter, sieve and evaporate the solution.
