Thanks for visiting the PTA page. If you’re a parent/guardian of one or more children at Upton Noble Primary School then you are automatically included as a member of our school PTA. Committee members are elected at the AGM by the members of the association, to represent them and run the association on their behalf.

Presently, Mrs Tara Taylor is the Chair of our PTA, Mrs Abbie Hiscock is Treasurer and Mrs Michelle Whittaker is Secretary.

Money raised by the PTA pays for a variety of ‘extras’ to enhance the children’s learning experiences and as such it plays an important role in school life. In recent years, funds raised have contributed to outdoor play equipment, transport costs for school trips, books, outdoor storage, outdoor shelter/canopy, tables, the Queen’s 90th birthday commemorative coins, team sports clothing, and a Shakespearean workshop, among many other things. Our fundraising events have included cake sales, bingo night, disco, summer fair, fireworks display, Christmas fair, sports day refreshments, and a barn dance.

The Friends of Upton Noble (PTA) is a charity. The school NEEDS it in place to be able to access certain funding, to claim gift aid on fund raising etc. which in the end helps all of our kids. 

If every parent/carer were able to commit to doing just one thing to help over the course of the school year that’s a whole lot of help, a lot less work for the few, and a whole lot of money raised to make Upton Noble a better, more inclusive, more engaging and more brilliant place than it already is.

And if you don’t want to help out but want to just give us a bit cash that’s okay too ;-)

As a starting point we’re putting together a WhatsApp group. It doesn’t mean you’re committing to anything. But it does mean you’ll be kept in the loop. Something that’s seems so much more important after everything that’s happened with COVID.

We promise not to ask for lots of time. We promise not to ask for lots of money. We promise not to be a total pain. But we really do need YOU to help make this work.
