Maple Class 2026-27

Welcome to Maple Class!

In Maple, you will find Mrs Baker and Miss Watson (Monday to Thursday).  We are looking forward to a great time in Year 6!

On this page, you can hopefully find the information you need about what's going on in Maple.  It's also where we will share some photos and examples of what we have been up to.

In the first half of the Autumn term our topic is Evolution and Inheritance; we will be learning about how life has adapted and evolved to survive in different places.  In the second half of the term we will learn about Victorian Britain, and how your lives are different now, compared to the lives of children then.

Our PE days are Tuesday and Friday, so you need PE kit on those days. 

Homework will be set in class and posted on Google Classroom to remind you.  There will be one or two pieces of homework every week, as well as practising your times tables regularly on TT Rockstars. 

I also expect you to read regularly, and I'm looking forward to you sharing what you have been reading with us in school.
