Week beginning 8/6/20
When we think of the Olympic games, the first sport we often think of is Athletics and the great Olympians such as Usain Bolt and Mo Farah. But what do you really know about this brilliantly diverse sport which is split up into track and field events and has three main disciplines: running, throwing and jumping?
Your task this week is to find out what the athletics vocabulary below mean. You can either create your own mini-glossary/poster to present these ideas or you could, if you're feeling ambitious, create a presentation using computer software such as Google Slides or Microsoft Powerpoint.
(I'm also going to put these words onto Spelling Shed for you to practise this week)
Your task this is to follow the tutorial below to draw a Japanese Pagoda. What is a Pagoda? Well that is part of your task as well. Find out what a pagoda is, including their history, before drawing your own. If the tutorial proves to be tricky to follow, feel free to find another. You can use whatever medium you like whether that is pencil crayons, paint, pens or chalk.
