Week Beginning 1st June
Hello Year One,
I hope that you are all well and that you had a fabulous half term. This is now the class page for all of Year 1 and I am delighted to welcome the Year 1's from Acorn Class to our group. I am looking forward to meeting some of you on Monday and of course to seeing those who I already know well.
At school we will be in a bubble, with myself, Miss Cook and Mr Flemming. We are going to be using Ash Class and you will all have your own table, with a tray full of everything that you might need. Remember, you do not have to wear school uniform but you need to bring a school jumper or cardigan with you. You also need to bring your lunch and a drink. We will work in the classroom and outside too. Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday, so I would advise wearing trainers on those days. I have attached a 'coronavirus story' below, which I would like you to read with your parents as it explains some of the rules that we will have at school to keep us safe.
For those children who are not in school, we will be thinking about you lots and will keep in touch by email, (email@example.com). I have uploaded the activities for this week on the stars below. The idea is for home learning to mirror school learning, so that all the children are covering the same content. The pattern for each day will be the same, with the exception of Monday June 1st, where there is no phonics teaching. We will be talking about our feelings and emotions and at different parts of the day will read the stories, Everybody Worries by John Burgerman, and Under the Same Sky, read by Tom Hardy (Cbeebies bedtime story). Both are available on YouTube, should you wish to use them.
Please do not hesitate to contact me via the class email if you have any queries.
