We are not following the White Rose Home Schooling link this week, as it is covering work that we have already completed. Our focus for this week is on turns.

 

Please start each session with a flash back slide. There is one for each day of the week, on the powerpoint below. 

Monday

 

Start by watching the BBC bitesize clip to introduce the terminology, clockwise and anticlockwise.

Work through the PowerPoint below.
Choose a worksheet to complete. They range from 1 star to 3 star. (Most of you should choose 2 star.) Stick the bee in the correct position based on instructions. You will then draw shapes in the correct positions based on instructions.

Tuesday

 

You will need to use the clock that you made when school first closed. If you do not have it there is a clock face template included with the worksheets. Use the minute hand to show your parent a quarter turn, a half turn,  a full turn, a quarter turn clockwise, a quarter turn anticlockwise.

 

Work through the PowerPoint below.

Complete the worksheets below. As before, you can choose your level. You will start by describing the turns by completing the stem sentences. You then draw the turns using clocks to help you.

Wednesday

 

Work through the PowerPoint below.

Complete the worksheets below. You need to describe the turns made by the different objects. You will use the words, clockwise, anticlockwise, quarter turn, half turn and full turn.

Thursday

 

Work through the PowerPoint below.

Complete the worksheets to describe how the number frames have been turned.

Friday

 

Please discuss the true or false slide below.

Make your own true or false slide using turns for a friend to complete.
