Georges Seurat was a French artist who created some amazing pieces of art by using a technique called Pointillism. When you view his paintings from a distance, they look like normal pieces of art but when you look more closely you notice that they are made up entirely of dots, pointillism.

The painting below is his most famous piece of artwork. It is called 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte'.

This week, you are going to create a piece of artwork using pointillism.

Start by thinking about what you are going to draw. You can draw anything you like, a nature scene, animals, a beautiful sunset, a flower, a beach scene.

Use a pencil to draw the outline of your picture onto your piece of paper.

Use a cotton buds and paint to create dots to fill in the colour in your picture.
