Calor Rural Community Fund

Calor are offering rural off grid communities like ours the chance to gain funding for projects that will improve local life. Projects that they support could be anything from redecorating the community centre or village hall; to new equipment for youth clubs, sports teams or scout groups.

Calor are offering grants of up to £5,000 for projects that will provide an on-going service for local communities.  Rural communities with projects off the mains gas grid can submit a project for funding and that is exactly what Upton Noble Primary school have done. Our swimming pool is in need of some renovation. The pool is used by the school and local community and needs some work doing to comply with Health & Safety standards and ensure the children are safe when using it.

We now need as many people as possible to go on the following websites to register a vote:

https://www.calor.co.uk/communityfund/about-the-fund/

From 25th May to 29th June 2018 the projects will be open for public voting. The project that receives the most votes will be shortlisted then reviewed by a panel of judges, who will select the winning projects for funding.
